By 3.40pm on Saturday, Marr Rugby players, coaches and supporters were able to give a collective shout of joy and happiness as all three senior teams that had fixtures each earned valuable points as we got back to winning ways.

it's been a tough season for all three XVs and there is still a long way to go but it was really pleasing to see everyone's spirits lifted by the results.

At Balgray the 1st XV took early control of the match and it was only some very good defensive work from Hawks that restricted us to only two tries. See the Offiside LIne's match report HERE

This game was Fraser Grant's finale for the season. He's heading off to Australia and it was fitting that he celebrated success, including scoring the opening try and at teh end of the match was given accolades by fellow players from both sides, the coaches and large travelling support.

At Fullarton the 2nd XV concluded Stage 1 of the Inter City programme with a hard fought win. The two conferences now move to Stage 2 where Marr will face Ed Accies, Musselburgh, Boroughmuir, Glasgow Hawks, Glasgow Accies and Biggar. Details of fixtures to be advised.

The 3rd XV enjoyed a day off after Lenzie 2s were unable to raise a team and conceded the fixture.

The Festive break now kicks in and players will get the chance of some rest and recovery.

Rugby returns on teh second Saturday in January.
