Nine of Marr Rugby’s 1st XV players have been selected to be part of the Scotland Club XV training squad from which the match day squad will be chosen for the forthcoming two fixtures against Ireland to win the Dalriada Cup.

The Marr Rugby 9 are Conor Bickerstaff (Centre); Scott Bickerstaff (Winger); Will Farquhar (Prop); Ewan Hamilton-Bulger (Second row); Calvin Henderson (Prop); Greg Montgomery (Fullback); Jack Preston (Scrum Half); Ollie Rossi (Hooker) and Colin Sturgeon (Stand-Off).

The picture of the Marr Rugby 9 was taken after the squad's second training session on Monday 20 January 2020 at the Oriam sorts facility in Heriot-Watt University's Riccarton campus in Edinburgh. As part of the session the squad had a warm up match against Scotland U20s and this ended in a draw with both sides scoring two tries.

The first leg of the Dalriada Cup is on Friday 31 January at Netherdale (kick-off 7.30pm) with the second leg in Dublin on 7 February 2020.

The selection is a great achievement for the players involved and reflects well on the standing Marr Rugby has now achieved in Scottish club rugby.
